So, you’re an app developer with a new idea for a newer application? Great. But hey, I have a question for you: Is your idea unique or is someone already working on it? Exactly, the point. If there’s one thing that we stress on the most here at CMOLDS, it’s unique ideas. If you think you have a unique idea, you’re already on your way to a great application.
However, sometimes great ideas pre-exist or are replicated by competitors. Does this mean you’re going to change your idea completely? Of course not! An idea is the most precious asset for your app organization. So, what do you think is the right way to go? Well, adding new features is perhaps the best way to go from here. Let’s Here are a few things to get you going:
Seek What’s Missing
Consider Lyft and Uber, understand the difference. Don’t get me wrong, as an app owner and/or creator you already know the difference. However, the laymen don’t understand that very same difference. For a regular customer, both Lyft and Uber work the same way. Weren’t the creators of Lyft thinking of that? Of course, they were. They knew what had to be changed.
For starters, Lyft allows you to have a friendly experience rather than the reserve experience there is when using Uber. When a customer enters Lyft, they are greeted by a fist-bump. What was the chemistry behind this? Well, basically both the drivers and the customers feel better this way. Additionally, tips are not included in the ride. It is up to the customer to tip the driver. This way, not only the driver will be earning the tip based on the ride itself but the customer also feels relaxed on paying tips.
Understand The Need
There’s one thing that you need to keep in mind when you need to create an application that’s a hit i.e. researching the need. As the state suggests it. Researching the audience is important and it allows you to capitalize on the audience faster. Consider Instagram and how it won the battle from snapchat. Sure, they both provide the same story structure but snapchat doesn’t allow you to directly upload pictures from the camera to the stories. Even if it does, it stamps the ‘via camera roll’ mark that usually annoys the customers.
Instagram removed this issue for good and allowed the customers to post pictures there way. Fast forward one year? Instagram wins the battle for app supremacy. Now, wasn’t that way too easy? Of course, it was. This is why Mark Zuckerberg and his team know their way around doing things.
All in all, there’s nothing really stopping you from creating an extravagant application. There are tons of things that you need to focus on but just a small alter of your idea can make sure you get the change that you need.
